Marcelino was born the 5th of May 1962 in Santa Catarina, community of Mezquitic, Jalisco. He started his training of shaman when he was seven years old, following the ancient rituals inherited from the ancestors of his Wirrarika culture. His main occupation as shaman and healer, is performed most of the times in the village of Real de Catorce, small pueblo up the mountains of central Mexico, where he often goes on pilgrimage, enacting healing ceremonies on benefit of the people who need his help and knowledge. He is also a musician and an artist, and in his spare time, combines his knowledge and visions of parallel worlds to create his pieces of manual work.

This yarn painting measures approximately 20 x 18 inches and is a real masterpiece which Marcelino created inspired on visions received thorough one of his healing journeys obtained under the influence of the sacred cactus "Peyote" the link that connects the healers of his culture with the invocated Gods. Marcelino lives most of the year in the Sierra Huichol, in Jalisco State, but also travels several times a year to Real de Catorce, where often he enacts his healing ceremonies.
