PAINTING FROM WOOD AND YARN, 30 X 30 cm.

The yarn paintings are works of art inspired by the Huichol tradition and mythology. The author is Antonio Carrillo de la Cruz of the community of Santa Catarina, 75 years old, who manages to evoke, through his work, rituals and magic moments of their culture. He has devoted his life to rescue an ancestral tradition handed down from father to son for generations. The base is made of wood, 30 x 30 cm. to which he applies a layer of wax and so the artist create images with thread.
